All students at YCHS take four years of math, science, and history. They also take two English classes and a daily silent reading period for all four years.

Yap Catholic High School (YCHS) in Micronesia recently earned the highest score (4) and a National Special Certificate of Achievement for academic excellence. YCHS was the only school to receive this distinction after an accreditation report published by the National Department of Education in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).

Grounded in the Catholic faith, Yap Catholic High School strives to educate students to achieve academic excellence, appreciate their culture, be good stewards of the environment, and live their faith in the service of God and others.

Fr. Mickey Corcoran, SJ, the principal/director at Yap Catholic High School said of this achievement, “There is a great need for quality education here in Micronesia, and YCHS is responding to that need!”
