Fr. Robert E. Reiser, SJ, has been chosen as the 13th president of McQuaid Jesuit High School. Fr. Reiser replaces Fr. Edward Salmon, SJ, who is stepping down at the end of this year to function as school chancellor. Fr. Reiser previously worked at McQuaid as the assistant to the president from 2004-2006. He then went on to Saint Peter’s Prep in Jersey City where he worked as president for seven years. Currently, Fr. Reiser has been working as a member of the McQuaid faculty.
“Fr. Reiser has the experience and vision to be a great president for McQuaid,” said Peter Rodgers, chair of the McQuaid Jesuit board of trustees, in the school’s press release.
Fr. Reiser will begin his role as president starting July 1, 2014.
