LECTURE: Lessons from Early Jesuit Education

As part of the Third Annual Distinguished Guest Lecture on Jesuit Pedagogy, Fordham University is presenting a talk by Fr. John W. O’Malley, SJ, entitled Pedagogy and Principles in the Early Jesuit Schools: So What for Today? The talk aims to examine the earliest Jesuit education principles and their relevance for todays classrooms.

Fr. O’Malley is a Professor of Theology at Georgetown University but is perhaps best known for his work, The First Jesuits. The First Jesuits, a comprehensive history that depicts the roots of the Society of Jesus, has been translated into 10 languages.

The lecture will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Fordham Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan, with a reception to follow. Click here to RSVP.
