A Class Act: Honoring Fr. Dunn

To mark 50 years since graduating the College of the Holy Cross, members of the school’s Class of 1963 renamed a reception room in honor of their former teacher, Fr. Charles J. Dunn, SJ.

Fr. Dunn began his tenure at Holy Cross in 1960, serving as dean of men. He currently serves as vice president emeritus and associate director of gift planning

“Fr. Dunn expected us to be gentlemen at all times,” said 50th Reunion Gift Chair Dennis Golden ’63. “He was a model for me for personal conduct, leadership, management, astute observations and wisdom. He expected us to know the rules and to follow them. If you didn’t, you’d be called down to his office. There you found out exactly who was in charge. Fr. Dunn was in charge.”
